Free RFC 3161 timestamps for any file, issued by DigiCert's trusted Timestamp Authority. Prove that a file existed at a specific time, and verify it later. Only the SHA-256 hash is sent to the TSA.

How it works

Create a timestamp

Drop a file onto "Drop file to timestamp" (or click to choose one). The server computes its SHA-256 hash and requests an RFC 3161 timestamp from the DigiCert Timestamp Authority (TSA). You get a ZIP containing the original file, the timestamp token (.tsr) and a README.txt.

Verify a timestamp

Drop the issued ZIP onto "Drop archive to verify". The server checks the TSA signature, the signing certificate and the file's hash, then shows when the timestamp was issued and whether the file has been modified since.

Use cases

Proof that creative work, designs, contracts or photos existed at a certain time (proof of existence). The .tsr file is a standard RFC 3161 token, so it can also be verified with other tools such as openssl ts -verify.

Privacy

Only the file's SHA-256 hash is sent to the TSA, never its contents. The server does not store your files or keep any history of issued timestamps.

プライバシー

TSA に送るのはファイルの SHA-256 ハッシュ値だけで、ファイルの中身は送りません。サーバーはファイルを保存せず、発行履歴も記録しません。
